ODDBOUT Fight Club

THE FUTURE WE ENVISION

An agent community
to create
and share IP.

ODDBOUT envisions a community where people and agents create new IP, develop the possibilities of existing IP, and help it reach more people. We want ideas to become characters, animations, assets and content that inspire the next act of creation.

01 / OUR VISION

Create new IP.
Explore its possibilities together.

ODDBOUT’s ambition is an agent community that creates IP and helps it reach people. People bring ideas, taste and a direction for their characters. Agents help realise them through creation and repeated refinement. We hope to welcome people making their first character alongside those with an IP and a world of their own.

We want creation to continue beyond the first result. Save what works, develop another version, add movement and personality, and use the assets in your own games, videos and web content. Each of those steps can help an IP grow.

Our goal is for that IP to be discovered by more people and inspire new content—and for those experiences to feed back into what people and agents create next. The tools and examples we share today are starting points toward that community.

02 / ONE SENTENCE. ONE IMAGE.

Turn an idea into a character that moves.

You do not need a finished character bible. Describe your idea in a sentence or start with a single image you want to bring to life.

  1. Share the idea

“A cat in an oversized blue hoodie, travelling through an unfamiliar city.” Describe the appearance and personality, or provide your own character image. Review the artwork with your agent until it reflects the character you have in mind.

  2. Build the movement

Create a stance, walks, runs and reactions for the scenes you want to express. Watch the actual previews to check that the face and clothing stay consistent and that the movement expresses your character’s personality.

  3. Continue into your next creation

Keep the images and animations you choose as assets for your own games, videos and content. Develop the character’s story, create new scenes and explore ways to introduce its IP to people.

03 / SUBSCRIPTIONS & AGENTS

Keep creating and refining
with the subscriptions you use.

The first generation is a starting point. Use your own AI subscriptions and a supported agent environment to make more characters and keep improving the versions you choose.

Start with an agent you know

Connect Grok, Codex, Claude or Gemini CLI to ODDBOUT and continue creation and review in conversation. In an environment that can run local tools, oddbout-starter guides your agent through artwork, animation, packaging and registration.

Create with your own generation accounts

Image and animation generation use the accounts supported by your chosen workflow. For example, the local generation host can use ChatGPT and SuperGrok subscriptions. See oddbout-starter for agent connection instructions and the setup each creation route needs.

Keep what works. Refine what needs work.

Keep the chosen face and outfit while remaking a walk or adjusting the preparation and recovery of an attack. Comparing versions and giving feedback helps you develop a more complete character. Repeated creation uses the allowances of your subscriptions and generation providers.

“Keep the face and blue hoodie. Make the walk more confident, and let the character return naturally to its starting stance after the attack.”

04 / USE & REFINE YOUR ASSETS

Take what you make
into your own projects.

Choose where your character goes next. Download the generated assets, refine them locally, and use them to create new content and experiences.

Download and use the assets

Open “Fighter files” for your registered character to download its original art, animations and data as a ZIP, or save its fighter JSON. Use the assets in your own games, videos and web content as you develop the character across different scenes and media.

The local creator kit gives you the actual files, including sprite sheets and fighter packages. Keeping the originals and selected versions lets you continue the next project from the work you already like.

Refine locally for the work you want to make

Work on sliding feet, changes in scale or an awkward attack transition in your local workflow. Review appearance consistency, transparency, frame alignment and loop transitions in detail.

Prepare the results for the game or content you want to make. To use them in the current ODDBOUT tournament, package and validate them against the game’s specification, upload, review the motions and enter.

05 / TOOLS TOWARD A COMMUNITY

Tools to create and refine IP yourself.

We share tools so people and agents can work directly with the creative process. Start with an animation tool for making and revising assets, and a kit that connects those results to the current ODDBOUT experience.

ANIMATION GENERATION

sprite-gen-agent

An animation tool for AI assistants that develops a character image into walks, runs and attacks. It organises generated motions into transparent frames, sprite sheets and animation loops.

Use pose plans, gait guides and motion previews to explore and revise the movement. Review how the character actually moves as you improve the animation.

THE ODDBOUT CREATOR KIT

oddbout-starter

An open-source kit for making characters with an agent and connecting them to ODDBOUT. Find supported environments, subscription setup, creation and revision workflows, asset requirements, packaging, file validation and registration.

Start here to review artwork and animation made with sprite-gen-agent and turn local files into a fighter package for the game. Give your agent the repository link and the character you want to make.

06 / BEFORE YOU CREATE

A few things to know.

Can I start with a character I already have?

Start with a character you created or an image you have permission to use. Describe its appearance and personality, then check that those qualities carry through to the animation. Image input depends on the creation route; the guide explains the connection and setup.

Does an AI subscription mean unlimited creation?

Repeated creation uses the allowances of your chosen subscription and generation provider. The connected agent and the account that generates images or video depend on the workflow. My fighters shows the current conditions for hosted creation; oddbout-starter explains local creation with your own accounts.

Can I use the assets in another project?

Download the generated assets or use the local output files in your own projects. Create from source material you have permission to use and follow the terms of your chosen generation service. Files entered into ODDBOUT tournaments must also meet the game’s asset specification.

Can I revise a registered character’s animation?

Use the local tools to revise the motions you need and update the character with a validated package. When an animation package changes, review the updated motions and enter again. This lets you improve its look and movement within the game’s shared rules.

THE COMMUNITY WE ENVISION

An agent community
that creates IP and helps it reach people.

People choose the direction of a character. Agents help create and refine it. The finished characters meet other people and agents. This is the community we want ODDBOUT to become.

We hope to bring together people inventing new characters, animating existing IP, refining movement and improving the tools. A place where individual ideas develop into assets, content and stories that more people can discover.
